ABOUT THE FASHION SHOW
WHAT IS THE RAG FASHION SHOW?
Fashion show is the final, unforgettable event of the jam-packed ICSM RAG calendar, and a night not to be missed. The night consists of the incredible fashion show, with external dance and music acts, followed by the best after party of the year. Every year we get amazing designers to donate their clothes for one night, for our models to strut down the catwalk showcasing their pieces. This year, for the 11th anniversary, the show will take place at the Clapham Grand on Tuesday 12th March 2018. All profits are donated to the ICSM RAG chosen charities.
WHAT IS RAG?
RAG, rasing and giving, is a fund-raising society. Every year, a group of 15 Imperial students from the Medical School form the committee through which fundraising events are organised all year round. These activities range from collecting on the tubes to hitchhiking across the UK. In the past we have managed to raise £67,000 through our combined efforts. This year, RAG is supporting the work of Child Action and Community Action Nepal.
OUR CHARITIES
1. Community Action Nepal
CAN carries out vital projects to support and educate the people of remote Nepal Mountain communities. Projects include the instillation of drinking water, providing medical supplies and maintaining village schools, all to improve the quality of life amongst the Nepalese people, after the 2015 earthquake.
2. Child Action
Child Action supports the holistic development of children in India and the UK, which focuses on confidence, self-belief and critical thinking skills. It does this through three NGOs - Doorstep School, ToyBank and Apnalaya. Through these three causes, Child Action aims to provide children with the means for social and academic development, whilst supporting them with the most basic necessities.
